56k warning: Pics of euro audio install (completed system pics wednesday)

Finally got my euro back from northfield car sound after a long two day wait - thought i'd share some pics of the install as it is now, and then on wednesday post pics of the completed system.

The custom made face-plate. it's amazing how stock it looks they even went to the trouble of replcating the original curve of the storage bin that the euro's have. The grain of the vinal is also pretty damn close to stock:

The Eclipse sw7124 12" alluminium sub, firing foward into the cabin... i know im losing spl this way but i've heard a foward firing and rear firing sub in the same car and i prefer the more pure tone that comes from facing the sub this way:

The Back of the sub box came out looking very stock aswell and suprisingly didnt really take up too much boot space (the amp that will be running my components and the amp that will be running the sub will be mounted on the back of the box):

The head unit (Eclipse cd8051) and Amps (eclipse ea4322/alpine mrd-500) that are still to be installed:

a random pic of the car:

love how you made the trunk look even though the sub is facing the cabin...how does it sound like that?...does it make the back seats thump?

"love how you made the trunk look even though the sub is facing the cabin...how does it sound like that?...does it make the back seats thump?"

I've only ever been in 2 cars with a foward firing sub but to my ear the bass comes through much clearer (your always gona get the purist reproduction of sound from the front surface of the cone i've been told-although been slightly quieter then rear firing by a few Db's). Yea it makes the seets thump- sat in the back of a vt commodore with a foward firing sub and got a nice massage.

"Very nice!

Took the guys at northfied a bit over a day - this too whilst installing the sub-box and wiring the car up. Although i'll be waiting till wednesday arvo for the system to be up and running i was impressed at how quick they got the car to this stage- especially considering the quality of thier work ... just a bit of side info... they made that front face plate from a cut then bent metal sheet then molded a wooden surface on top of that then a layer of felt then stretched the vinal ontop of that to finish it off... can't wait to see the whole thing finsihed

No worries Perth_Euro - i don't even have a sound system anymore! haha

your setup definitely deserves it's own thread though, best i've ever seen in a euro

Dude I love your trunk setup so much. I hope to have a sound system something like that someday down the road in my car. Hope you don't mind if I use some ideas from yours as I really like that raised amp on the pole.
