What Can I do to get around 250 Whp ?
#42
Couple questions:
First off, will dealerships or other vendors install UR Pulleys for you (for a price obviously)??? I know people say its easy....I've even read through the DIY with pictures and all, but I'm really afraid I'm gonna do one thing wrong and 'f' up my car.
Secondly, I see this all the time, and I feel like a noob for asking, but what's the JDM acronym stand for???

SC (along with I/H/E/C) will get you very close to, if not slightly over, 250whp on an 04/05. On an 06, it'll put you above it.
With a few more tweaks to your SC setup (hello Big Ben!) you can get an 04/05 to 275whp/215tq...

For the cost of parts, installation, and the guaranteed loss of drivetrain warranty, not to mention quite a few other warranties, you could get a different car that would easily make that kind of power.
Anything is possible, but let's be realistic about the consequences as well.

Exhaust will add a few, intake will add a few, and the header will add a few, but I don't think that quite adds up to 25 whp.
My car hits 250whp (and about 260whp in sub-50 degree weather)...and here's my dyno as proof:
As far as reliability is concerned, I'm not worried. I only have just under 19k miles on my car (most likely the fewest of any S/Ced TSX) and I have little doubt that my car will last well over 100k. Yes, the lack of a warranty on some areas is a concern but the way I look at it, the K24 has proven to be more or less bulletproof so any issues covered by the warranty would probably not be engine-related anyway. Consequently, the addition of a S/C or other engine mods would be irrelevant.

^^ Yeah, that sounds about right. The very first 04 Manual TSX dynoed about 244 whp with just intake and header. Given the power upgrade and the better breathing in an 06, I think you should definitely be able to get over 250 whp.

oh..but at least you can beat an SI cause thats all that matters in the world.
Not that it doesn't matter you have better handling...better interior...better styling...all around better car than an SI right now in your TSX.

You usually need to retard timing with Nitrous and we don't have any way to do that at the moment. You could probably run a small shot of NOS but it can be risky. Tsxondubs ran a small shot before and he said it made quite a difference. This was a couple of years ago when he was running it though.

please dont call it NOS its not nitrous its a name brand ...well yes its not always on tap but whenthe bottle is filled and you flick the switch mash the gas ( if you have a WOT switch) itis on tap lol and it gives but loads of torque...but yeaha small shot like maybe a 50 or so (well on myls1 thats a baby ass shot lol)wont be bad ..wel it will on the trans and stuff but run 2 stepcolder spark plugs ( only 1 step is requiered but 2 steps helps a lil more) and you will be good...

My god learn to spell (your age indicates you should already know how), and put together sentances or use any sort of grammar at all. Reading your posts makes my eyes hurt and I cant understand a thing you are saying.

^^ Genius.
Maybe you should done that in first place.
btw, do you even know anything about turbo? Do some research before running your mouth. I hate when people talking what they are going to do w/ their ride, but never does anything.

It seems that 1&2 gear is pretty much a dog but after u hit 3rd it moves pretty good. Whats the basic simple bolt on parts that i can upgrade the horse power, i'm not looking to do any engine work just yet. Any help would b great!

If I decide to take the plunge and supercharge it someday, it will be respectably quick. But in the mean time I'm content with the fact that I have a great looking fantastic handling car with a lot of creature comforts which is reliable and gets decent gas mileage. I love my car for those features and plan to hang on to it for some time. In the future, when I have more money, I'll own a second car for my "fast" fixings.
