Valve Cover Q

Hey guys, going to install the JDM K20 valve cover this weekend. i thought i read that i need a new gasket, is this true. Ive only had the car for about 3-4 weeks and just went over 500 miles on the odometer. Anyone give some advice from past experience on swapping valve covers?

you can reuse the gasket, you're supposed to use some hondabond to seal it... but i didn't

If the car is that new, you shouldn't need a new gasket. However, you do need to clean off the sealant in a few areas on the gasket before reinstalling. Also, you should reapply some silicone or hondabond to the same areas during the installation.

Find people who've done it at the BBQ this weekend and do it there? I'll be there, but no help on this particular mod.
