UR SS Pully - Would you buy it
I know we have beat this topic up several times however I have two questionsfor the group
1. Is this a part you are intrested in but hesitate becase there is no Posted Dyno on any of the TSX forms.
2. What sort of gain would you want to see to make this a worth while
purchase, I am thinking that a 10WHP gain would be sufficent.

Even though I still haven't seen any Dynos on TSX yet, but I think it will definity help the TSX acceleration somehow. I've have do extensive research on pulleys, on TSX as well as other cars. A lot of other cars does show a HP gain of 5-10+. A lot of people on this forum does mentioned about how useless the SS pulley will be on TSX, how's the Crack pulley will fxxk up (underdrive) the car, or tell me it's no gain @ all. However, I'm planning to put this as my stage 2 project, when I have extra $$$ to spend around. For now, I will see someone dyno first.

I had one on one of my old cars for about 4 years. It definately added a few horsepower. The rear main seal on the engine went, however I think it had more to do with the 250,000 kms on it than the pulley.

We clarified earlier about the fact that the TSX, like most Honda engines, does not have a "harmonic balancer". So there is no need to worry about it affecting your car for the worse. The pulleys will not necessarily make HP as much as they will free up HP since they are lighter and slightly underdrive the accessories, therefore creating less parasitic drag on the engine. The first two people who want to do this mod I will sell the pulley kit for $225 shipped, as long as you're in the continental 48 United States. Thereafter it will go back up to the $275 shipped. I have 2 in stock so they will ship out ASAP. PM me if you are interested.

Also, the engine should feel quicker and more responsive - livelier. Sort of like when you add a lightened flywheel. There may be some concern about battery drain, and operation of other accessories though.
I would do this, but I am considering the CTSC as well, so I'm laying off touching my pulley ratios as of yet.

I am miffed that the other thread got locked without standard lock procedure,........ex,......a final post by locking mod or at least a 5 min warning. Whats the deal??????????
10 hp would be a good gain.

I want pulleys but dont think it would work well with a large audio video system and I also wont be the first to try them. I only am the first to try mods that could be life threatening .

Id try it but im scared hahaha i think my amp is already maxing out my stock alternator...is there a replacement altenator that pushes more juice? If so I would do that first then consider the pulleys.

I can do that, most of what I have read indicates that it is realy only less voltage durring idle and after 1200rpm its not an issue, but I will be insure to do a voltage test. I just got a yellow top so I dont think I will be hurting to bad with my car audio setup.

I forgot to mention conducting the voltage test with all accessories on and off at the same rpm points (ac, defroster, full fan, headlights, radio, wiper, brake lights. etc). Everything one would use during a rainy night. It wouldn't hurt to operate the power windows too. If you are going to do a test, make it a complete test.
