Upgrades?

Hey all,

I appreciate your feed back in advance.

Here is my situation. I have a 2004 TSX, 6-speed. Everything is completely stock in my car. I have 107,000 miles and i am starting to hear some clicking in my 1st and 2nd gear, i believe it is my clutch that is starting to go, which seems fitting for the mileage and the semi-city driving conditions i am in each day.

Because of this i thought i would take the opportunity to possibly do some upgrades to my car and wanted to get your all thoughts. Here is what i was thinking:

ECU Reflash: http://www..com/cr/HD-K24A2.html

Apexi Short Ram Air Intake (SAI): http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/part...kes/Power/1264, http://www..com/forums/1st-gen-engin...er-intake.html

Lightened Flywheel (OEM=18.2lbs, Exedy Lightened Flywheel=8.9lbs): http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/perf...eels/Flywheels

Stage 1 Organic Clutch: http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/part...-_Organic/4669

Sub Total Cost = $960 + Tax and Shipping and Install
Total = probably about $2,000 <-- (this is probably how much a dealer would charge for just the OEM clutch installation and parts.)

From my personal opinion (which is often needs adjusting) lightening moving parts is one of the best ways to increase acceleration (i.e. Lightened flywheel, lighter rims [i think stock rims are 22lbs, aftermarket can get down to 8lbs], etc...)

What are your thoughts? If these are not good upgrades should i upgrade other things and if so what should i upgrade instead?

Thanks again,
NovaElite

I like the ideas. You should also check out a lighter crank pulley since it follows the lines of your desire to reduce weight in parts that rotate.

Might want to add UR Pulleys to that list, you'll love them. I can vouch for the Apexi SRI, love it.
