Upgrade HID? Please help

Anyone have upgraded their HID bulb?

I wanted to upgrade to a 6000k or 8000k hid bulb.

Anyone can recommend me some good brands?

Thank you.

I doubt you are going to find too many who have, especially due to cost. Why would you want to? IMO, I think they are already pretty bright and give good coverage.

8000K or 6000K will be more blue but they put out LESS light than the OEM bulbs.

If you still want to go ahead with it, Philips and Osram make good bulbs.

Here's a thread on the conversion to 6000K writen by JaTe: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4606
It looks like his pictures are gone but it might just be my connection.

anyways, I switched mine out for some phillips 4300k and it gives a slightly whiter/bluer color. They go for about 40-50 bucks a pair on ebay.

Your lights are good enough. And anything over 6000K is just for looks, they're worse than stock. And a little bit further than 8000K and you can actually reach worse the halogen levels. Plus you attract cops like the Krispy Kreme fresh doughnuts sign and piss off oncoming drivers.

i also don't understand people who really brighten their rear plate lights...i saw some RSX w/them. that's so like "hey here's my plate # - gimme that ticket!"...and people still neon their plates, man that so '90s.

Thank you for all your info.

However, i don't know why my hid appears not in blue color, but instead it is kinda greenish.

Anyone experiences this?

Or is it just like tony4311 say that's only because of the view angle??

Thank you all.

Mine are green for the first few seconds when I turn them on as they are warming up. After that they are a white/blue color depending on the angle.
