TSX Header Questions

1. What is the stock collector size?

2. Who makes headers for the TSX with a larger collector than stock?

3. Are there any high flow catalytic converters available that will mate a larger collector size with the stock exhaust.

Thanks

The stock cat inlet is 2.25" so I believe the stock A-pipe is just slightly larger. No one that we know of makes a header collector larger than stock. Aftermarket headers are usually designed to bolt up to a stock cat, and aftermarket cats are usually designed to bolt up to stock header and exhaust. If you want something larger, you most likely have to go custom. I have made a custom A-pipe with a 2.5" collector. I'm now in the process of making another A-pipe with a 2.25" collector to match my cat.

The reason I ask is because on my Type-R the stock collector was 2.25 as well. I upgraded the entire header / cat/ exhaust path to 2.5". This seemed to be the most optimum set up for the car.

I imagine the same holds true for the K series engines. I will start looking around for JDM headers with a 2.5" collector.

yeah, 2.5 should be right since we have a 2.4 liter motor.
