TSX Handling

Ok...everyone keeps talking about how well the TSX handles...I've driven one (but never pushed it)...but what is this in relation too? Is it a good handling car for a Luxury Sedan? Good handling car for a FWD? Good handling compared to ____?

The only FWD car I drove that I was really impressed with was the Integra Type-R...does the TSX compare to that? Better? Worse? Thanks!

In relation to other cars driven, like the A6 Avant (slow, yet AWD is awesome), Jetta (more stable, but not as fun), GTI (nimble, yet small), 4Runner (tips at tight turns, noisy, larger), Focus (terrible tire grip), Huyndai Excel (slow), Civic Hatchback (very slow), Golf, Passat, etc.

My Jetta was better when merging, but the TSX makes it up with traction control.

Also drove the RSX. It was much too stiff. The TSX is more comfortable.

Better than a US Accord, about the same as a Mazda6 or A4 FWD. Better than a C-class, worse than a 325i or IS300 (but not by much), better than a Saab 9-3 or Passat. Those were my impressions at least.

Civic Hatchback very slow?? I hope ur not talking about the 02+ Si's ?

The handling on the TSX is ok, nothing really to talk about. Still turns like a boat to me.

Now that I've driven the car a few times...I can critique it...

The TSX handles fairly well for a FWD Sedan...

I know I'm comparing apples to oranges, but my MR2 Turbo handles unbelieavably better...but thats cause its a "sporty" car not a sedan...the TSX however is a much more comfortable ride....again, apples to oranges.

The MR2 is a much lighter car and a much smaller wheel base. For the segment, the TSX is an excellent handling car. Plus, the fact that it is FWD makes it that much more impressive because it shouldn't handle this well for an FWD car.

Compared to the boat like handling of most US domestic family sedans.

I think it has some understeer to it, but I guess you can expect that with a fwd. Other then that, I think the ride is perfect, not to stiff and not too soft. The geering seems a little weird to me for some reason (manual), but Im getting used to it

I've had my TSX now for about a week an a half now, and keep getting even more excited everytime I get in it.

And with the Injen intake on order, It'll be bonerific :bananahump:

A car is like a TOOL. its up the the Person if they know how to use it..

WHen I first got the car.. i First got rid the tires on the car and got azenis right away.. Big difference in handling.. As last year progress, been to autox, lapping days.. The car has a lot of potential.. You can bring out the rear end depends on how you shift the car around.. But Just install Tein Flex few weeks ago.. Havent try it on the track yet.. so cant review about the suspension yet,..
