I think certain cars have it but not sure which make or model. The ECU is already reading and storing data from the various sensors such as rpm, speed, brake. etc. It wouldn't be very difficult to implement it to store data for playback.

From what I've read about people misshifting on the rsx its not quite a black box.

EX: When people misshift on the rsx it causes a cel. When a cel its activated it records all the info that that very moment. speed, rpm etc. Until a worse code comes along and records over that its saved. From what an Acura tech explained in another forum.
