torque converter

I was wondering if it would be possible to find a better torque converter for the auto tsx. I was wondering if maybe the torque converter in the CRV might be a better fit since some people with the manual are using the final drive gear from it.

What all info would I need to know so that I could figure out if it was even possible.

Define "better".

Usually when one buys a different torque converter for performance reasons, it's to get a higher stall speed for better launches at the drag strip. Sometimes the hard core guys will go with an unlocked converter just to get every last bit of torque out of the thing.

I don't know if these guys make anything for the TSX, but I used to hear about them on an Integra board...

I don't know much about either, but Level 10 does have parts for the Integra, TL, CL....saw nothing specific for TSX's, but they are no stranger to Acuras...

The converter acts as a torque multiplier when it's slipping, however, it's not as efficient at high speeds so it build up heat quickly. Locking the converter at higher speeds gains about 2-7% efficiency, which is what you want for good mileage.
