did you install this just by jacking up the car/jackstands? the cat is situated in the middle of the car, it's kind of hard to reach.

Huh? What kind of jack do you have? There should be plenty of room after you put the car on jack stands.

Has anyone ever tried hollowing out the stock converter? Will it work? When I was younger, this was the easy mod on grand Nationals and other GM cars. It still leaves the visual inspection, but acts like a test pipe.

It's a dynojet so the measurement is whp & wtq . The numbers in the chart are SAE corrected. The actual whp on that particular day is over 200 uncorrected.

JTso, through your experience what then is the better modification for sporty DAILY DRIVING:

test pipe with anti-fouler OR
rt cat with anti-fouler OR
upgrading to a cat from an 06/07 tsx

thanks,
vinny

Since it's a daily driven car, then I would recommend an aftermarket high flow cat with the proper pipe sizing and length.

I'm planning for an RT cat. From what I know of test pipes, they make a hell of a lot of noise and a lot of smell for not much improvement over a high-flow cat. In a daily driver, I'd definitely sacrifice the tiny improvement a test pipe would give over a high-flow.

Topspeed header and RT cat for me in Spring!
