A-spec VS. Mugen SS

I simply cannot decide!! Cost is not really an issue here. I basically want the car to handle "tighter" and have less body-roll. Both of these set-ups lower the car by about an inch. Anyone have any input as to which would be better, and make the car more responsive? Thanks.

Since cost is not an issue to you i would recommend the TEIN Flex with EDFC instead. Since none of those two has adjustibility to it. With the TEIN Flex you can have the ride height set at 1" as you which AND you can adjust the dampening depends on your moods through EDFC. Nothing comes cooler than that!

Or at least a coilover set, something adjustable just in case you decide 1 inch isn't enough and you want it lower. Which I would not be surprised if that happend

well, what i meant was cost was not really an issue between the two. Hey by the way, are you at Villanova, or does that stand for Northern Virginia?

This is just a hunch.... but I think the A-Spec and Mugen kits are the SAME kit. I believe it's manufactured by SHOWA of Japan, a parts supplier that honda uses for many of its cars, etc. Also, Acura claims that the A-spec is approximately 10% stiffer than stock... From LannyM's thread on spring rates, 10% stiffer than the stock spring rates is almost exactly what the mugen spring rates advertised by mugen are on www.kingmotorsports.com.

I have the a-spec kit and before installing it in my garage, I saw SHOWA on the shock body of each shock. A call to kingmotorsports also verified that the mugen SS is manufactured by SHOWA. Last but not least, they both lower the car 1 inch.... What you guys think??

Northern Virginia sorry

But you can get coilovers for about that same price. Look into the Tanabe sustec Pro-OC type II. I had those and I loved them. Should be around the same price too.
