Is anyone here is using the S2000 specific oil filter (part number 15400-PCX-004) on their TSX? Or the HAMP oil filter (that same say are the same as the S2000 one)? I suspect using either wouldn't hurt anything and might even be better for the engine, but I wanted to see if anyone was already doing it.

I'm not sure about the S2000 filter for the TSX.
But I know my friend uses the S2000 filter on his ITR

15400-PCX-004 works with the tsx. if you check oil filter for 2003 S2k . .it's the same part number for the TSX. 15400-PCX-004 is new oil filter for S2k .. supposedly very good. i have it on my tsx. no problem here. so if old 03 S2k works for tsx .. i owuldnt see why the new filter wouldnt

i'm not a tech so dont quote me. But for sure i know old filter is same. you can check www.fram.com .. you'll see the 2003 S2k uses the same filter as the TSX.

No, they are different filters. The TSX uses the teacup sized filter, but the S2000 uses a larger one. However, I'm pretty sure that all Honda oil filters have the same 20X1.5MM threads, so it may work. But don't hold me to that.

i also checked with dealer also. this filter is also found on the RL from what i remember.

I am using the small HAMP filter on my TSX, the same one I used on a B18C Type R engine. So I would go with whichever one you can find for cheaper.

What do you mean by "small" HAMP?

Do you just mean a non-oversized one (that's suppose to identical to the current S2000-specific one)? Or does HAMP have a smaller "tea-cup" sized (like the replacement filters for non-S2000 Hondas) one now?

There are 2 sizes HAMP filter out there. What I meant was I used the smaller one. Not sure what size is the S2000 one, so I can't say if it is the same. It is definitely smaller than the filter that come with the TSX.
