Resonator removed Need J pipe?

Resonator removed Need J pipe?

Removed the resonator with J pipe, but i was unsure reading through the forums if the J pipe should be put back in or not? Can someone please let me know. Im lol kinda driving around with out either hehe. Sounds great

ANYTHING that attached to the Stock Intake, can be remove when you are installing a SRI or CAI. That's include all those heavy-weight boxes down there behind the front bumper, the resonator, and all those pipes.

He's not installing a new intake, he just removed the resonator. And no, you should not keep the J-pipe attached. The only thing you should leave in the bottom of the box is the 3" diameter flexible tube that goes to from the air box to the wheel well.

No just for the DIY removing the resonator, do u take out the j pipe too? or put that back in

I gotta go get a 3" flexible tube? and stick it towards the wheel well?

No, just re-use the stock piece that is already attached to the bottom of the intake box.

I removed the first have of my intake shortly after buying my TSX. The J pipe and resonator should be removed to free up some weight and air charge. I noticed a slightly more aggressive sound when the J-pipe/resonator came out; also makes things alot easier when adding a CAI down the road.
