With Audis its easy because they have a turbo. The chip basically just increases the PSI.

With the TSX it wont be that easy but hondata (www.hondata.com) has produced some nice stuff for the i-vtec engines, specifically the RSX. So far they dont have any plans to make anything for the TSX but many people here have their fingers crossed.

If you go to the hondata website you can see dynos charts of rsx's with a hondata ecu and intake. The improvement are quite good. Not sure what would happen on the TSX though.

I'd expect them to be similarly good. THe biggest gains are from the midrange where the i-vtec is advanced and fuel maps optimized for a cold air intake. If they were able to up the rev limit a few hundred rpms that would also be really helpful as most mods are going ot give top end gains.

Chipping an atmospheric engine won't result in big horse power gains.

I know there are Honda's with turbo's installed.

Keep in mind that modifying an engine is risky.

The new i-vtec system adds another dimension with hondas. k20a2s gain like 15whp along with solid torque gains across the band from ignition advance/cam angle change/fuel map change. It's significant, just no idea on when or if there will be a tsx application out.
