My personal impression is,

fujitsubo - "clean" sound. mild deep tone. the long endpipe may look a bit long without A-spec lip or Euro-R rear lip kit.

Comptech - very deep tone. endpipe is really similar to OEM exhaust, and some ppl might not like it because it looks too stock

Tanabe Mendallion - "cleanness" and "deepness" of this exhaust is really between Comptech and Fujitsubo. great quality, but a bit expensive.

Greddy EVO 2- Great looks and sound. it has deep tone, but rather "light" deep tone (like the G35 sound). price is good, it jus has some issues with hanging and fitment.

T1R - the exhaust i wish to get when i want to move on from my comptech. GREAT look, titanium finish. but i feel like it might sound a bit loud....

What does everyone think of the Greddy SP exhaust. It seams like it would be similar to the comptech.

I've narrowed my choices down to 2 catbacks.

1) COMPTECH = Gotta love the Deep tone
2) Tanabe MT= Has a slightly larger tip diameter but not too large like fujitsubo

It might take a VERY long time to get the Comptech since they are under new owners.

Do you guys think i can achieve the deep tone with the Tanabes?

^^^no just because of the muffler construction. You can get close but it wont be exact.

i thought at WOT, the noise comes from your intake, and not the exhaust?? arent most exhausts quiet at high RPMs?

it DOES get drowned-out by my injen CAI...but I had a friend do a fly-by for me...you can hear the exhaust...
and if you're in the car, you have to mentally IGNORE the intake to hear it howl..

here's a nice clip of the 5zigen on a accord type r
