Question Installing High Performance Exhaust
Question Installing High Performance Exhaust
Hi. I wanna know...when installing the high performance exhausts, should anything be done to the elcetronic components like the o2 sensor?? If I were to change the catalytic converter with a high flow one......where will the o2 sensor go...are there other things to look for while installing installing a high performance exhaust? Thanks for your help......
i think your o2 sensor is on the end of the header right before the cat so you dont have to touch it

Acutally our car has 2 02 sensors. One on the A-pipe of the header and the other on the cat. The sensor will just go on the CAT. If you get an Random Tech it has a bung for it and you shouldn't get a CEL if you install it properly. If you do end up getting a CEL theres a mod you can do to get rid of it.
quick question
what if i replace the factory catalytic with a high flow is it worth it? Now with the factory exhaust, at high rpm's i hear lik ea leak coming from right under the gearbox...or under the shifter..not sure....but im sure its a leak so i wanna change the whole line with a stainless...worth it??????
From my understanding, replacing JUST the high-flow cat will not give you much (or any) gain. However, it does shine if you already have a CAI/Comptech Airbox, Header setup, best w/ a Full aftermarket high performance exhaust I guess. I bought a high-flow cat and seeing behind me right now, gonna install it w/ my header in Spring. I think JTso, dzuy, and many others can help you on this. But you can also search "Random Technology (RT) High-flow CAT" under TSX Parts & Performance for more info.
