As far as I can understand, the 06 and 07 models have the same engine design and even car design. So why can't we just use the 06 reflash on 07 models?

Oh i thought I read another post where it did. so I have an 08 - theres no way to run a K20 ECO?? I dont care what features I loose.

 

HyTech is currently working on creating a harness, which is why I said it doesn't exist at the moment. It may or may not work. So still more R&D is required.

And the answer to your question is no.

 

If you don't care about features, why did you buy a TSX in the first place ?

06's don't have the Tire Pressure Monitoring System....07's do. The ECU probably takes in the info from each tire and sends it to the MID or something. It's the only difference between the two years.

i wanted nav and heated seats - I hate VSA and the TPMS is nice - but i could live without it to have a fast car

 

do you think hondata would put out some sort of ecu mod for the 2nd gen TSX before releasing anything for the 07/08's?

Considering the target market of the new TSX (young, upscale, and boring ) coupled with the disappointing performance specs and driving impressions, I'd say the chances that Hondata will refocus on the 07/08s are better than before. However they're still not very good overall .

 

I'm starting to doubt that they'll ever release a reflash for 07/08. If it were possible, I think they would have released a version as soon as possible. I think the 06 reflash was already available by the time I bought my 06 new.
