could someone tell me how hard it is to change out the HID bulbs? i just ordered some of the 10k bulbs and wondering how much of a pain in the ass it might be?

the low beams are the only HID beams on the car. theres instructions in ure manual. you know that little book that came with your car. yes i beleive it might be a pia cuz you need to calebrate the lights to the proper angle. i could be wrong and it could be as easy as it is changing the halogen high beams

I dont think you need to reain the lights just by changing the bulb. You only need to reaim the lights if you actually have to remove the housing. Changing the bulbs wont move the housing. It should be relatively easy. I've done it on another car before.

Lower the beam? Why?

Also, can you take some pics of these bulbs?

lower the beam b/c i had to take out the housing to change the bulb ...then i noticed that there is one screw that you have to take out in the back and twist it off to get access to the bulb...once it was installed i noticed that i could see that there was a gap between the headlight assembly and the front bumper on the driver side..the passenger side was flush ..everything was installed the same way it came out.....and driving it seems like the bulbs are aimed a little high..everything and i mean everything lights up blue ..i just want to lower it just a little thats all .. i will post pics when finished

there is a hole in the radiator cover above the headlights, stick a screwdriver in there and turn it to adjust the headlights. or put a socket on the back and adjust as needed.

Nice. Thank God they don't look like those 13000K purple HIDs. :ghey:

The blue at least still looks legal and mostly-functional. I'm curious to hear how it is to drive with these, because the farther you drift from the stock white 4300K bulbs, the more visibility suffers.

You know you can show the pictures by encasing the link with [img] [/img] too right?

Tonka: If you could do it again.... Would you still have installed the 10K bulbs, or different ones? Overall, how much time/$$ did you put into this mod? Also, you said it's not as bright. Do you think the difference could be unsafe at times, possibly during snow,fog....?

I'd really like to do this, but the old lady has bad eyes at night........

Thanks

The color output has as much to do with the projector as it has to do wit the bulbs. BMW/audi, use different projectors, so using the same bulbs way result in a different color anyway.

That projector mod is AMAZING. I will be playing with a set of TSX headlights and will def look into that.
