projector type fog lights ?
Hi everyone,
Any idea if there are any aftermarket projector fog lights for CL9/CL7 ('06 models) ?
I want to replace my stock ones with some projector type ones (I like the look and maybe I'll put some HIDs on them, too)

I'm trying to complete the Projector HID Fog idea awhile ago, trying so hard and did tons of research, and found out it's close to impossible unless you custom made it.
The nicest way is go on e-bay and buy a set of TL/TSX/Lexus D2S Projector, the reason why not pick the BMW or Audi is, I found their design is a little different than the Japanese one, their side are open while the Jap one is close, which means the bulb will expose in the air. Being @ the foglight location, it's dangerous to leave it in a open spot for rain/slow to attack it.
You can then pick up a set of D2S Ballast forum/e-bay used, it really doesn't matter unless it doesn't work. Buy a D2S/D2C bulb with the color you like, then you are done- almost
Now you need to fabricate a foglight cover to hold it. You can do it with the "original fog-light" slot cover. Cut a circle to fit the projector and such. OR, I saw some people shove it into the OEM foglight housing. This can be done if you use tiny small projector, buit it doesn't look too nice.
Good Luck on the projector, it's not easy but if you can figure it out... that will be so nice.

I remember when I first joined this board somebody had ordered a pair of EDM CL7 fogs and those had projectors inside of them. Those were for the 04/05 model though not 06. I remember he had bought them from England. Hope that some what helps you guys.

See here, half way down the page. My fogs are from a 2004 2.2CDti. They are directly plug and play. They are actually not a full projector type housing, but the bulb does sit perpendicular to the housing.

Here is a daytime pic of the fogs.

I'm not sure what do you mean by "not a full projector type" ?
I have the stock ones which are not projector type, so now I want to switch them to "a full projector type"

@chuson you car looks HOT, man !
Anyway, putting HIDs on OEM fog lights it's a good option.
I'll try to see what can be done with projectors first, if too much trouble or too high costs then I'll choose you way

Slobeatz -- the glass on these lights is very thick. I have had them for about 2.5 years now with no problems at all. I got them from Chiswick Honda outside London. They were pretty expensive as they are OEM for the 2005 Accord 2.2cdti. They are easiest to install with a US fog harness.
