yes it is possible. it requires quite a few parts though. however if you buy all the parts used from junk yards you should be able to do it for around 3500 including install. you need a lot more than just the transmission. you need the transmission, ecu, gauges, clutch pedal, clutch master reservoir, clutch cylinder, engine harness just to name a few. I have been heavily researching this and plan to do it sometime in the next year cause my warranty will be over by then.

I'd say it's not worth the effort. Sell your AT, and buy an MT TSX instead. And transfer any mods you may have.

Dom traded his AT in for a MT

DrkAngel843 did the swap. I'm not sure if that's his exact user name, but it's close.

Yeah he did a swap and told me all the parts that you need to do the swap. I have a file somewhere with all the info listed.

I found a shop that said they think they should be able to do it for like $2500 but that I should estimate on $3500 for an unknown costs.

lol, yeah, 1200 is for trading in the AT for a MT. In almost all cases, it's usually best to trade the car in. It's not worth it to do a tranny swap. The only time you'd do it is if you have sentimental value in the car, or if you have modded your car alot (beyond the point a normal person would, such as a show car)

There is a thread somewhere here I believe where the guy talked about his tranny swap and had some pictures posted....

I was thinking about this too, but you know, if your gonna do a swap, you might as well trade in your car, at least you'll know that your car will be "untouched" and straight from the factory.

Trade for cash. were I live, AT have higher resale than M6 cars. Every area is different, so see what resale values are by you.

I would say just do trade in for a MT, because at least that way you know all the parts are covered by warranty if you get it with less than 50k miles and they still make TSXs. Down here the 6spd ones are much cheaper than AT, you can probably do a direct swap without any $$$ out of your pockets.
