I am 4. I don't understand; Hondata says that the problem is that Honda will not give them the source codes or something to that effect. But how is it that they got the codes for the 04 MT+AT, 05 MT, AND 06 MT+AT. Why would Honda give all those others out, and not the 05 AT??

From this thread
There was another post by hondata that I can't find right now that described the number of combinations that they had to go through to "crack" the code.

One option we have for the 05 AT is to provide an 04 ECU with reflash for the 05 AT. That would of course be more expensive as it includes the ECU. I would expect a price of about $1250. You would retain your stock ECU and could sell the reflashed 04 ECU at a later time.

Well, hopefully they've got the computers buzzing away trying to crack the code. I, for one, would prefer a proper 05 AT reflash over an expensive stopgap solution using an 04 ECU... and from the looks of this thread, there's more of us out there.
As the Hondata rep said before, they are working on it.

The MT 05 ECU performed identically to the MT 04 ECU in our dyno tests. I would expect the same of the Auto.
Edit. From the previous post, it appears that someone has already tested that this works well.
