Picking up Hondata ECU after work and installing...

I'm picking up my reflashed ECU tonight and installing. Is there anything I should know before I start her up or when I first drive??

Before you do something stupid, no, he's not. In reality I doubt it would damage it though.

Yep! Rev it like you stole it

You gotta test the new vtec point and 7600 RPM rev limit!

I don't know about that, but he is running a Comptech Supercharger.

I didn't really get to rev it this morning, but the times that I did.... I really felt the car pull harder after 3.5 RPM. Maybe because I didn't drive my car for a week, I can't really remember how it was driving before, but I do notice a slight gain.

How should I drive it so I go HOLY SH!T!!!!???

^^ Over a cliff would probably result in the requested emotion. But I wouldn't recommend it.

Ask for your $80 back. Did you ever run those before and after dynos you were talking about?

Rev it to 7600 through the first couple of gears shifting so that you stay in Vtec the whole time.

Also try lightly reving it in first gear to about 4700 RPMs and then mash the throttle. That should put you in Vtec right when you floor it.

Drive it to a tuner shop and get the h/i/e that hondata hungers for? The cliff idea is good, but only if you have the Greddy landing rockets installed to slow the decent prior to impact.

And before you test out the cliff method, dont forget to install the Fujita Vehicle Parachute, or as we call them in the Biz 'FVP'.

HAHAHA, thanks for cliff ideas guys!!

I didn't get to dyno it before. I will bring it in within the next few weeks to get it on the dyno. I thought I would be done after the ECU, but I'm already thinking about what I want to get next.....

Ask for your $80 back.
I ended up taking it out and re-installing myself. Not hard at all, although I did lose one of the screws to the immobilizer.

What year is your TSX?

Not a fan of the Greddy landing rockets, there is too much hissing noise. I prefer the Comptech's Jet Propulsion Pack with Quiet Tips.

I definitely feel the car pull harder after 3500 RPM. The engines seems to go effortlessly from 4000-7600 RPM. I tested the new limiter, I revved it up to 7600!

Definitely worth the money, it's almost equivalent to the cost of an exhaust and you get more power. I have a 04 TSX.

this might be irrelevant but i was wondering if this basically means ecu
"TSX ECM/PCM computer"
on the 05 a/t a 04 ecu should work just fine and have no problems with installing correct ??

If you're asking whether a 04 ECU would work on the 05AT, then the answer is yes. One person has done it and at least one other was about to do it AFAIR.

And yes the TSX ECM/PCM computer is referring to the ECU.
