Question Performance Comparison of '06 with '04-'05 TSX?

Has anyone done a test of the '06 TSX with the HP bump versus the previous years' model? Was there a noticable difference in performance? (Looking at purchasing, trying to figure out if Certified Used is okay, or if I should go for a new model...)

THanks!

There have been a number of threads discussing this. Search for "performance" or something with that word in it. Or look on the first few pages of the general forum and you'll find some info.

Read Jeff Palmer's driving impressions of the 06 TSX on TOV. He compares it to the 04 TSX. http://www.vtec.net/articles/view-ar...icle_id=493583

There's also a dyno thread in Parts & Performance that is very useful.

the new tsx got a 13hp jump.
acura changed their hp ratings so the 04-05 TSX was only 192hp and then they bumped it to 205hp

Here is what Jeff said:

Of course, we've asked what the actual difference is and Acura claims that the revised motor would have been rated at 210hp using the older SAE method, so this motor should be about 10hp stronger than last year's.
