P2R Throttle Body spacer
#81
^^I did install it. Fitment was just about perfect, install was easy, but taking off the old bolts was a bitch. Its a slightly noticable difference in power. Posted some of my thoughts on Chuson's thread. https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41326
I'm going to post my thoughts and pics this week in a new thread.

i emailed p2r regarding an updated ETA for the thermal throttle body gaskets for the 06+.
'We will be releasing the thermal throttle body gasket in a few weeks from now.'

On a related note, does anybody know what the thermal gasket is made out of? Delrin? (Seems like it would be fairly easy to make a spacer of your own, especially with plastic).

The thermal gasket is made out of a proprietary material that is used by P2R and only one other well-known company. It has better heat resistance than other materials on the market. And the gaskets come out to about $17.50 each once you factor in the shipping, CC fees, etc so it's not like they are expensive.

^^john, make sure you reset you ECU after install. I swapped out my OEM battery last week, and now the car feels much different. I shoulda disconnected my battery when I installed it.
I don't know how the ECU works out airflow exactly, but it seems that having a clean read on airflow as opposed to letting it work out over time may have made a difference.
I'll probably reset the ECU when I put in the TB bypass mod as well.
Oh and be advised. Taking out those studs can be a royal pain in the axle.
