Only if ACURA Corporate would Modify the TSX this way.....
For Starters, ACURA needs to drop preferably an Inline-6 or v6 in the TSX, and add real metal to the front grille. I figure, the new i-6 or v6 should put out atleast 225hp (they could use the old CL engine) or 240hp (new accord)engine. <This is the bare minimum needed to sweeten the TSX. I don't think charging $1500-$1700 more for this engine is unreasonable depending on whether its 225 or 240hp.
28490+$1700= base price of 30,190w/navi, its still $4460 cheaper than a TL w/Navi.
Other items that would be welcomed are:
autodimming heated side mirrors.
super all wheel drive for +$1500 would be very similar to audi which charges +$1750 for quattro
I have listed 1700+1500+300 (autodimming heated side mirrors)
totals out to +$3500. For another $1500 Give us bigger brakes, lowered sport suspension and 18 inch wheels = $5000. I know when you are manufacturing cars, the average cost for these features has to go down based on volume.
Even with all of my fantasizing.....The total cost on my numbers is $35190 (lets see...all wheel drive, 240hp, and some additional accessories I have listed......sounds better than any BMW or Audi you can buy today! Comparitively equipped Bimmer is pushing $42k and Audi should be around atleast $40k! Perhaps Acura could sweeten the deal and making it an even $35k~
That's a lot of sports sedan for $35k.
I dunno about you guys but I prefer these changes over the A-SPEC package.
even with the price increases, this car is still a better value than the german predeccessors which cost more to maintain and insure.
Anyway, that's me dreaming about TSX becoming a little more atheletic instead of me making mods which I haven't and am not sure I will even if I don't move abroad + and do get to keep the car~

Hi noob!!
This has been discussed many a time. Overall, the consensus is that a 6-cylinder would be nice, but it wouldn't fit the chassis. It's too narrow for a 6-cylinder (especially an I6) to fit. Otherwise, there have been rumors floating around about a turbo AWD version due some point in the life cycle of the car so keep an eye out.

I don't doubt its been discussed for a second. But Acura should hurry up and make these changes within the next two years.
Look at Nissan and Infiniti.......that company makes improvements performance and luxury related overnight!
Granted they have a long way to go atleast in certain areas....they are on a mission!~
Have you guys seen the INFINITI M45 prototype?!
Its amazing!

The TSX is good enough the way it is. It's the entry level sedan for Acura and putting all of those things in it would take it out of that group. Not only that, Acura is the king of the "package" deal where you get very little choice when it come to options. So all of them would have to be that way. Like the new RL, which you can't get without the SHAWD.
Yes, the M will be amazing.

Pretty much what you mentioned there is a TL. If they did that for the TSX, what's the point of making the TL? Might as well take a TL and rip out some of the features, put an I4 in it and sell it in place of the TSX..

I personally prefer the TSX over the TL. Before purchasing, I drove both of them and chose the TSX. Maybe its just me, but I found the handling of the TSX more sporty...also read an article from a road test that indicated TSX is more sport oriented where as TL is more luxury. TSX needs more power. Meanwhile, its shape, style and interior are much different than TL. Its japanese. Just because its smaller doesn't mean they should strip it down. Guess I am the only guy willing to pay more to have it dressed up performance wise. If what TSX r US is saying is true, then why does BMW include all the amenities it has in the 7 in the 5 series and soon to be in the new 3? Other than a few items not needed, the 5 and 7 offer similar package. Its only size and fancy items such as autodoor shut that diffrentiates them.
anyway, that's that. For now we shall stay happy with TSX as is......the design is too good! The TSX styling in my mind is awesome. Now if only we could get xenon fog lamps....here I go again!~?

I much prefer the handling and driving character of the TSX too.
IMO: The TSX would do great with forced induction/and/or more agressive cams.
This would easily give the desired 240hp.
BTW: I am no longer the Sales Manager at McDavid Acura - I went back into technology sales.
