Haha, yeah that bolt sucks. It didn't take me long to get it off, but that was because I got advance warning from the forum about it.
What I did was get a very small ratchet w/ 10mm socket, take off the foglight cover, and get to the bolt that way. It took a lot of turns because you can barely turn the ratchet, but it came out.

For the life of me I couldn't figure out how to pop off the (smaller) plastic cover next to the stock headlight on the 06. When you look at it from the inside it seems like a little pressure on the clips and it should pop right off, but i was really pushing and I thought I'd break it if I went much harder.
But yes, a SMALL 1/4" ratchet w/ the smallest 10mm socket you can get is the only way to get that thing off.
