New stuff at Jackson Racing

Not TSX related per se, but I just noticed that Jackson Racing has been re-launched with new products that look pretty nice: http://www.jacksonracing.com/home.htm

I wonder if they'll make an exhaust header for the TSX? It would be nice to see supercharger kit with one of those new Rotrex blowers, but I know that won't happen.

bleh, got my hopes up for nothing =(

Edit: If I remember correctly, I emailed them last year and they said they were not developing anything for the TSX as there was not enough interest/demand.

Meh, I'm gonna email them and ask anyway. I don't know why companies aren't creating more options for us. Vehicle sales aside, the possibilities for our engine seem wonderful.

Got an answer back from JR

Trung,

The K-Series Rotrex supercharger kit is still in design stages, with no
completion date set. The first kit will be for 06-07 Civic Si, with
adaptations for other K-Series vehicles (i.e. RSX, 02-05 Civic Si). The
TSX is currently not on the list of adaptations, but we will look into it.

Thanks for your time,

Oscar Jackson Jr.

I dont buy that anymore. Their are plenty of cars out there now with DBW that have Turbo/SC kits...

DBW seems like a complex solution to a simple problem. I guess having VSA and other high-end safety and high-end cruise control applications necessitates the shift (not just on the TSX -- in general). Still seems like overkill to have computer-controlled motors and gizmos to open and close a metal flap.

Okay, so we have higher compression (not good for FI), VSA complexity which controls the TB, and let's not forget the ECU's almight tie into the various guages and controls. So do you think there is some conspiracy or something?

On topic: man, those blowers look excellent. I would REALLY have to resist a f.i. setup involving that.

Off topic: Dan, a lot of nice photos including a handful that are really remarkable.
