new brake pads
new brake pads
i'm installing new brake pads (Hawks HPS) with the stock rotors and i'm just wondering how necessary it is to bleed the brakes?
do i really have to if all i'm looking for are new brake pads since the ones i have now are almost grinded to the metal?

Short answer, no. But it real easy to do if you have another person to help. They push the pedal, you open the bleeder nut, some fluid comes out, tighten the nut, come off the brake, move to the next one.

I just rotated the tires on my gf's 05 Accord, so I figured to bleed the brakes while the wheels are off. Took me no more than 30 minutes the whole job.
I did the same with my TSX, only I flushed the whole brake fluid out, the stuff was dark brown and rusty
So it's highly recommended, and the directions are simple like Joerockt said.KC
