Need opinions on this modification.(TSX front bumper on a TL)..

Sup CL9 fellas. A few of you guys might know me.

I drive a 3rd gen TL.

Due to the overwhelming amount of people who have referred to my TL as a TSX...I intend to fit TSX mirrors and a TSX front bumper on my TL.

What are everyones thoughts about this? Yay or Nay? Not gonna work? etc...

Appreciate it.

Funny, I always get asked if my TSX is a TL... seemingly daily!

I dunno... Do they line up properly? And more importantly, what do YOU like?

I can understand why you would want the TSX side mirrors but why the bumper? Don't waste your money, they are too similar as it is. Not likely to line up, different hood, headlight, ETC. Cars are not the same size either. Major Modifications and fabrication.

If you do decide to the do the mod, good luck. But wouldn't it be easier to either just educate those that make the mistake or lay the smack down on them?

hawhat man. you are going to do hawhat LOL I havent seen you on here or online at all lately what have you been up too. I think it is a pretty crazy idea but I like it. You gonna stay with the tl headlights or go with the tsx lights. I may be down in the winter if it doesnt snow down there.

It won't work without MAJOR (cutting and stretching the bumper) modification. The TL is wider than the TSX, and the hood is different.

I think that you should put this body kit on the TL instead. I mean it almost looks like the front of a TSX and it is made for the TL. It will be a lot easier and cheaper.

Thanks for everyones input.

I will probably get my hands on a tsx front bumper real soon and attempt this mod. Hopefully it will line up relatively straight. I know there will have to be a lot of fabrication, but anything is possible after seeing some of the showcars ive seen.

Maybe ill think about some jdm euro headlights.

That red TL is RJ DeVeras. I dont think theyre planning to manufacture that front bumper, or atleast not just yet. Its unfortunate b/c i like it a lot.

Allright thats it...

I just got done lookin at my TL in the parking lot and the mirrors are pissing me off. They're gay and gaudy.

I'm calling the Honda/Acura salvage place right now.

Does anyone have a TSX front bumper layin around?!...I'll buy it, especially if its PWP.

Just trade in your TL for a TSX and call it a day. I could have gotten a TL for 33K but got a TSX instead for 25k and used that 8k difference for mods and this is the end result. Enough said!
