My next mod.. help!

So I have a '04 AT TSX, w/ Hondata, Comptech rear sway, Injen CAI, and custom exhaust.

I need to make a decision on what my next part is. I think im going between two things: Random Tech Cat and Headers (Comptech or DC?)

I know that the Hondata reflash is more effective with the addition of headers, not to mention headers have their own improvement.

But I also hear the Random Tech Cat has an amazing power improvement.

What do you guys think?

Im a little concerned about the fact that I have a custom exhaust - Will this affect fitment of the Random Tech cat? I don't know exactly where it goes, kinda confused.

I personally would do theym both at the same time.. Your then decision is do you want the DC Sports Header or the Comptech Header.

Whichever header you choose, just make sure you get two of them to have Headers

RT goes between the headers and the exhausts

It depends how custom is your exhaust. Does it have the mounting flange at the right place and correct size?

gsclifton was just joking. I do agree with cccolt. I would get them both at the same time. will be much easier. You can just install them at the same time when your there under the car. So might as well just get them both. But if you want just one, then I will get the header first. Then get the RT cat after. I just have the RT cat with stock header and Injen intake and I didnt really feel a big difference in performance.

Man, I was just messing with you on getting two headers.

I prefer the Comptech Header myself. However, many here have the DC and just had it welded for better reliability. But as mentioned before on this board I have read about a few Comptech Header failures as well at the flex pipe.

I also agree that if funds are available, just do the cat and header at the same time, assuming the cat will mate correctly to the flange on your custom exhaust.
