I got mine from sabersport off of ebay. 45 shipped....it comes unpainted with a strip of 3M tape. Took about 5 days to get, including the weekend. Great experience with it, got the UPS tracking number and fast email replies. I just need to get it painted now...

Hope that helps.

I bought 20ft of tape b/c the shop did a crap job on mine. I'm going to try out the tape I bought this weekend, but I could probably sell some of the extra if you need some.

Is this "M3 spoiler" producing downforce? If not I don't see the point of having it. And why would you attach it with tape? Couldn't it come off on the freeway at high speed and kill someone? FWIW, I have an E30 M3 (the one with a functional wing that does produce downforce) and it is very well attached to the trunk.

Yes it produces downforce, you just have to drive at 200mph. :P

Why do we have it? Ask the E46 guys the same question.

It's not secured by "tape" in the conventional sense. The stuff I used is a 3M adhesive that has a 5LB per inch holding ability so at 46" you'd need 230lbs to remove it. If that blows off, you have bigger problems.

maybe you should tell that to bmw, as their E46 OEM one is 1) the same shape, 2) attached with tape.

Wrong M3

Sorry chaps, when I read M3 spoiler, I assumed you were talking about the original M3. The one with a big 'basket handle' Lancer Evo-looking thing that would require more than tape to attach. Yeah the E46 'spoiler' is a simple piece of plastic along the trunk edge. Not the same thing. My bad.
