The silver blends in a little more here. In fact in most light the silver looks black from a distance because of the darkness under the hood.

My vote is chrome... black is sleak, but if I am going to mod my car I want someone to notice it.

For some reason most people are much too afraid to remove their bumper.

Yeah I changed it to silver because noone really noticed the black mesh or made any comments. It's pretty easy to trade them out, so I may just switch back and forth depending on what mood I'm in.

Where did you find the mesh for your lower grille. The mesh I'm using right now is not quite as good quality wise as I want it. (it's not perfectly consistent) I've seen the kinda I want on ebay, but it's too expensive compared to what I've been paying.

Am I the only one who wants to do this mod for FUNCTIONAL reasons?

I have all kinds of dents and dings in my radiator front. I want to keep the debris out. Since I already have the Mugen upper grill, I'd definitely lean towards black.

Great looking work CSpaR and Matell.

That's the reason I did mine the way I did. I wanted it to be purely functional and discreet, yet still slightly obvious enough for someone who know's CL9's to see that it's a little different.

I think I said about it in the text of my DIY, but anyway I'm in Australia so I got mine from Autobarn. It came flat in a cardboard sleeve and measured about 4ftx1ft from memory. Brand is SAAS and it was $32AUD so call it $25USD.

JTso's posted a link to identical black mesh.

Question

Sorry to post a question about an older topic here guys, but does Mugen sell this lower grille in black to match the sports grille?

This is the sports grill I'm talking about:

Is there a bottom matching piece that is sold that I'm just not finding or do I need to fabricate one myself? I've been searching for this answer like 30 minutes now. Thanx for all your help!
