anyone have any quality sound clips of the Evo 2, both inside and out of the car? This is the one I am leaning towards the most, but I am worried about it sounding ricey, or having too much of a cabin drone while cruising. I do a lot of highway driving and I am looking for a catback that wont get annoying on the road!

I have dc header/ t1r test pipe/dc exhuast and its super loud. I had a problem with one of the tips falling off and modded the exhaust to single, and it sounds better.

 

I read your excellent DIY on the CT header and exhaust, and you mentioned the addition of the 'quiet tips' Are they, what, inserts for the compech exhaust? I'm close to getting the parts together for my 05.

 

Youtube has a bunch for the EVO 2. It is hard to tell from sound clips, but you can get an idea from youtube. One thing you may want to consider is the look of the exhaust. The EVO 2 without a rear underbody spoiler or aftermarket bumper looks ugly IMO. many people have said the same exact thing. The mufflers look wayy to big and hang down after installation.
