I remember it felt like it was for me when my SC was getting installed.
When they are doing the install, tell them to make sure to have the wiring going from the fuel rail to the main harness tied down to the tab on the side of the throttle body. When I was at Comptech last week, this is one of the things they did as preventative maintenance. I'll post pics and details of this in my SC thread later. If they don't do it beforehand, don't worry though, this is something very easy to do yourself after. And like I said it's just preventative maintenance, so it's not a big deal. You'll probably be fine even if you don't do it.

Looks like you are the 5th person with the SC so far!

The 05 Supercharger for the manual won't be released for a little while. Comptech hasn't fitted it on an 05 yet. They said they will be working on it soon though. Since the engine is identical I don't think they will run into any problems. Engine management was the only thing missing, and now that it's available, it should be all good.

The 06 supercharger is a different story however. As Hondata has mentioned, the fitment is different, so Comptech will need to do some R&D on it.

I picked up my car this morning and I am speechless as to the power the TSX has now. As others have commented, it is night and day on how much more torque and HP you feel. The Acura tech had fun installing the SC as this was the first TSX he had ever done. I wish the TSX came this way from the factory.

Enjoy the pictures. BTW, I also purchased the Comptech Exhaust as well.

Pretty close. They charged an additional $10 for coolant and add state tax on the labor.

I live close to the Bellevue one, but I will never go there. Been taking my car to Acura in Southcenter for 3 years now.

I hate Acura of Bellevue!

If you were there in the morning, my car was parked outside. I'll post more information after I get more driving in but here are my initial impressions after 20 miles.

The car definitely pulls harder and you definitely feel VTEC kick in much quicker. Great power thru all the gears. I was impressed that I can easily pass other cars in 5th gear rather than downshifting to 4th. I easily can reach 80mph without even noticing that I am driving that fast. This is definitely a worth while modification if you have the money.

It is hard to compare sound as I also installed the Comptech Exhaust at the same time. You can definitely hear the exhaust at WOT and I love the way it sounds. I'll have to get help from Jtso in taking some live video to capture the driving and sound. I also finally take my car to a dyno to see all the increases after all the engine mods I have done. Stay tuned

Also, Acura of Lynnwood did a great job in the whole process. I got to drive a TL for the time my car was in the shop and they had their most Sr. tech do the install. He even had fun himself doing the install since he mostly does RSXs and NSXs.

For those wondering, my engine mods are...

Comptech SC, Comptech Icebox, DC Sports Header, Random Tech Hi-Flow Cat, Comptech Cat-Back Exhaust

Nice setup! let me know when you want to take some sound clips and video. I'd like to check out the SC!

Btw, didn't you have a baseline dyno before the SC?

Jtso, I'll PM you once I figure out my traveling schedule for the next couple of weeks. I haven't taken a dyno since I bought the car but with all the mods I definitely want to now. What is the cost of a dyno at Intec? Maybe that is when you can bring your video setup so that we can post the results for others to see.

Yes, we need another SC TSX in the state of WA. We now have two (Kanjin and I) in WA and we are tied with CA (sho-one and TSX536).

Yes, that cost included everything except installation. The ECU is reflashed by Hondata thru Comptech. You may have to pay shipping to them but since I got my install done thru the dealership the shipping for the ECU reflash was part of the cost.

The ECU and Comptech ACM (aka Blackbox) is included with the SC kit. For the fuel system, you'll need to modify the fuel pressure of your current fuel system. It does not come with new injectors.

Just wanted to make a quick correction.
It's suppose to be ECU reflash, the SC kit doesn't come with a new ECU.

Well after having the SC for over a week I must say that this mod was definitely worth the money. I still need to set a date with Jtso on a dyno as I definitely will want to post the results.

I had my tension belt retightened and had an oil change since the install and the tech said everything is holding together well. I have definitely gotten a lot of questions from people as I drive into parking lots as to what I have done to the car since the Comptech exhaust also gets people attention.
