Nope! It's a wrinkle blue paint. OEM HOnda do not have this color. I've seen some people on other forums willing to do this for a price.

Only blue cover that Honda has is on a H22, a prelude engine I think.

Yeah, I have a blue valve cover. In fact, I used the same guy that inkedup uses.

The guy does amazing work. I got mine powdercoated in anodized blue, and it matches the endlinks on my Cusco FSTB absolutely perfectly.

Btw, nobody better imitate my engine bay - I've got plans for it...

haha, well Ive already installed another shaved and powdercoated VC since the blue one, you will see the color when I post pics in a couple weeks.

So my next cover after the current VC I will either have custom airbrushed by my tattoo artist (I have a couple ideas up my sleeve) or something similar to the gold color that Js racing uses for its strut bar mounts...

Did you ever end up getting a VC coated by the powdercoaters I reccomended you?

I'm waiting for my wheels to arrive, and possibly add a few more goodies to my engine bay before I post anything.

Depends...

If you want a BLUE valve cover...then yes, the only option that I know of is to get one custom powdercoated.

I'm not sure about painting as an option, but if you can find a reliable heat-resistant paint to use, I suppose you could try it. Still, I'd MUCH rather get it powdercoated.

There is also the J's Racing valve cover that is powdercoated in their special shade of green. It only comes in that one color, and it runs ~$350.

I wonder if you could get it powdercoated Artic Blue Pearl (if they have Powdercoat available). That would be sweet well at least for me because that is the car's color.

For the color to perfectly match ABP you would be better off having a paint shop spray the VC. There is a large assortment of powdercoat colors and Im sure you could find a shade of blue that closely matched ABP but your not going to find an actual ABP powdercoat.

Personally I dont like paintmatched valve covers, I prefer the VC to stand out...

That's a nice blue. How much does it cost to get a VC powdercoated? I really don't care for the jdm red one. Maybe i'll go this route if i ever decide to change the cover.

I've seen a DIY black valve cover. Painted with high temperature brake caliper paint. Not bad actually. It's smooth though, not crinkled.

Actually, that's wrinkle blue, and I'm OK with others getting it cuz mine is a different blue (anodized blue - smooth & shiny like buttah)...

He has an olive drab powderdoat but no burgandy, he can special order colors for you though for an extra fee.

I will see if I can talk him into stocking a burgandy color since I may want something in that color in the future.
