So do the comptech or dc headers give better gains? where is the post that compares them?

So it seems like DC headers are better because both of them would need a fix done right away (since I have an AT and CT will rattle). The DC+flex pipe fix is cheaper than just CT alone and it sounds like the gains are the same

^^ look in the Off Topic section for Mrheeltoe's rant about the quality and customer support of DC Sports lately. It seems that AT owners will have issues to deal with regardless of which brand they go with.

Ya, I saw that, but a lot of people are saying they are getting more power with the flex pipe fix, so it would be interesting to dyno the dc header with the fix and see if it makes a bit more power than the CT header then.

Also, I saw Chase's comment, but since I live in California and he isn't going to get his header CARB approved that header isn't an option for me sadly

I recently swapped out my DC Sports Header for a used Comptech. I have an '06 5AT and yes there is some minor vibration that I can live with. However I would definitely choose the Comptech over the DC Sports.

Why comptech over DC if comp creates that vibration?
Because of the better looks, or do you feel more power?

probably willing to deal with vibration in return for better quality vs. the DC which may crack or suffer the flex pipe issues.

Since I installed Comptech header it seems to me that the lack of heatshield effects cabin/interior heating..
Can improvise? Or thermo tec?
Is there any possible side effect caused by heat shield removal due to the higher temperatures?
If I put thermo tec, some say that my stainless steel header could rust.. thanks for help.

Yes, the heat shield also keeps the under hood temp down and reduces heat soak.

It's a top down but slight angle view of the header being coved. You can see the exhaust manifold flange toward the bottom of the pic.
