hey guys i really hadnt looked much into intakes as i have a 5AT
but dammmnnn i didnt know they were producing these kinda ##'s

And AEM's baseline is abnormally high, I'm not quite sure what SRS corrected is. But the improvements on each seems right on, minimal gains w/ ice box, decent w/ SRI, best w/ CAI.
I realize not to look at the absolute figures and compare. So I looked at all the torque graphs in post #1 and just looking at which line goes higher at which rpm ranges.
It looks to me that in both Injen cases, there is some loss in torque (compared to stock) for a small range in the low-end (2600 to 3300 for SRI, 2500 to 2900 for CAI). The Comptech Icebox has similar characteristics and its line shows loss in torque (vs stock) around 2700 to 3300 (ignoring the even lower rpm part as Injen graphs don't cover that low).
Is my observation correct? So some slight low-end torque is being sacraficed to get the mid-to-high end gain? Is this pretty much true for all similar intake mods?
