which intake?

it seems like the Injen CAI is the most popular intake... why is that? does it provide better gains and does it sound better?

It provides the best gains. The K&N Typhoon is almost a tie with Injen but more people prefer the Injen. I have a Comptech Icebox as I wanted the stock look. Still provide some decent gains and a more subtle sound.

AEM only makes a short ram not a CAI yet. Again, Injen provides the best power gains if that is what you are looking for.

Bottom line is, if you want extra hp/trq, bring in colder air will do the job (CAI), while SRI gives better throttle response, it does not give as much hp/trq as CAI. Injen has a slightly larger diameter tubing over the K&N CAI, therefore contributing to the extra horses over K&N CAI, but the difference is very minimal. K&N CAI comes with a drycharger, while Injen doesnt, so if you live in an area that rains a lot, K&N is a better bet.
