Installed Injen CAI

Installed Injen CAI
Got my Injen CAI from madperformance today. First, let me say that the service was excellent and the automated tracking system worked great!
Installed the CAI by taking the front wheel off...let me tell you, getting that one bolt behind the fog light cover on the bumper off was a pain in the ass! But, I managed to get it off. Turned the car on and didn't get any signs of a bad install. Question is, will I know right away if something is wrong or could it take a little while? I took the car out for a 20 minute spin and didn't have any problems. Intake sounds great! Adds a growl, almost like a muscle car.
Thanks for the replies

I'm installing mine tomorrow. Did your injen come with the long straight breather hose instructing you to discard the vent chamber or the short breather hose still keeping the vent chamber. Mine came with the short hose keeping the vent chamber. This setup basically achieves the same thing but just uses the stock vent chamber. I don't know what difference the vent chamber makes. Anyone have any ideas?

The small hose leading to the vent chamber came loose after a test drive, so I replaced the stock hose clamps with the type that screw tighten.

Is there pros or cons of using or not using the stock vent chamber?
Does anyone know if I can buy this part somewhere else if needed?

Being that you are from California, I would think that having CARB approved equipment would be fairly important. Personally, I don't think there's anything special about that vent chamber. I'm sure it's just some weird law that says you've got to have one but I bet from an emissions standpoint, a tube that directly connects the vent to the intake would be just as good.

Thanks for the reply Dan!
Do you happen to know where I can get a PDF of the Injen install instructions?
I already have the K&N ones, but I heard it's better to refer to both at the same time during the install.
Thanks!

Do you have the Injen intake too JoeRocket?
If so what version do you have?
I heard that the Injen is suppose to be CARB exempt here in CA soon.

Here's the link to Injen:

Make sure to keep your receipt handy so that you can get a CARB exempt # later.
