I just finished mine. I gave up on trying to get the pedal off and managed to do all the work with it in place... mind you, it was a little hard getting even my smallish fingers behind there to place the washers and nuts, but I did it. The gas pedal was by far the easiest -- I'm glad I left it to the end. No surprises with it.

Here's a rundown of my experience tonight...

I tackled the brake pedal first, and other than having a bit of a challenge getting the drill holes started, it went relatively easy. It probably took the longest -- mainly because I was being cautious. Also, for you fellow 5AT members, you need to put some sort of filler or "rubber spacer" (as others have called it) in the middle of the pedal where it dips in. I took some 3M automotive mounting tape and tripled it up to make it flush with the surrounding metal. It seems to have done the trick, as the nubs do not recess into the pedal when you step on it.

Second was the dead pedal (or foot rest). I decided to take the dead pedal off to try it moda_way's method first... I am regretting doing that. I was taking it off to mount the dead pedal cover onto it. So I did that (using the short screws) and then proceeded to clip the dead pedal back in place. Unfortunately it didn't hold all that well. It seems that the plastic on the back of the dead pedal is a bit soft and the "spring" portion of the clips have lost their spring. I should have just left it in place and screwed the short screws into it.

So to solve the problem with the dead pedal, I first tried mounting just the new pedal to the spot where the old pedal was. I drilled holes into the floor just like moda_way had done with his and test fitted the pedal. It fit well enough, but the nubs were recessing into the aluminum -- I didn't like that. My next thought was, I'd use the longer screws provided and screw the combined dead pedal and cover to the floor. Unfortunately, the screws provided are just a wee bit too short (and, they're also Phillips heads which are notorious for stripping if you try to apply some force), so I'm going looking for some slightly longer screws -- perhaps even self-tapping screws -- tomorrow at the local auto parts store or Home Depot (and preferrably with a Robertson or Allen head on them).

All in all, I'm really happy with the pedals. There's some minor revisions required to the design -- specifically, the 5AT brake pedals... there should be some sort of additional rubber to make up for what the OEM rubber cover has on it -- but damn do they look good!

Hey no problem Dave! I'm happy... I was just offering a suggestion to revise the design in the future.

So everyone, here's my solution for the dead pedal issue. I ended up buying some plastic screw anchors, drilled the holes in the floor a bit larger, put the anchors in and then screwed everything down (OEM dead pedal, new dead pedal cover) using #8 x 2" flat head Robertson screws (yay Canada for Robertson screws!). Doing that took me about half an hour this evening after work. There's no way that dead pedal's coming free now.

And now for some photos:

Installed my non-logo MT pedals today. It was kind of a pain in the ass, but only because a) I'm 6'3" 220lbs so moving around down in the footwell sucks and b) I've never done much drilling before so I was re-learning as I went along.

Dead pedal: easy as pie, screwed it right on top of the stocker. Done.

Got a couple of the small bolts in the clutch a bit crooked, because I goofed with the holes. It's hardly noticable though, and it's still sturdy.

I could not for the life of me get the accelerator pedal to unclip. So, I screwed the four holes with the pedal still mounted, and then shoved the four screws in. All attempts at getting nuts and washers on with the pedal still attached were failures. I ended up just leaving it as is, held in by the snug fit of the bolts in the holes. It works for now, but eventually I'd like to get them secured, if I can figure out the accelerator removal.

They look stock though, and feel great - I love them!

Audio There a few detailed write ups on getting it off, Do a search and it should come up. There is a little clip on the pedal that you have to get loose, Its tuff to get it loose, But I you look thorught this thread I think somebody did a hand written diagram.

There are only 2 sets left on the Non-Logo 6MT Race Pedals.

Honestly, on the Auto, the brake pedal is so wide that, if anything, the "Acura" text should be on it instead of the dead pedal. Place the Acura "A" on the dead and gas pedals, which would nicely frame out the brake pedal text and balance the installed appearance. Duh.
Who makes these BTW? The title of this thread suggests that these are manufactured by Honda as an OEM product. My guess is that they are aftermarket and originate from somewhere like Taiwan...

Actually they were designed and voted on by the members of this forum, They look much better how they are now layed out left to right, With ACURA being on the dead pedal. Some members like them with no logos there really is no mix and match I am just doing some members a favor. The pedals either come in Logo or No-Logo and they are Designed and made in Germany, Tooling comes from Taiwan. Over 70 + Sets installed on the TSX,

All models are getting low so if you want them grab a set now 149.99 Delivered.

Installed mine today

Supercomputer was really fast on the shipping. I did the intall today, and I must say, it looks a lot easier then it is. Thanks to the instructions you guys posted, that helped a lot. Having the right tools is essential. As many of you have come to find out, there is a little dip in the middle of the brake pedal. I just cut the center of the old brake pad, and tirmed it a bit and that worked just great. for the dead pedal, I just found it very easy to use the eletic screwdriver and intall on top of the old pedal. I did manage to get the gas pedal off. Those of you who did the install without taken the gas pedal apart, my hat is off to you. I must say the pedals are of very good quality and look nice. Anyway, just wanted to tell my experience. Taken my time, it took me about an hour and a half.

No problem and thanks for the fast shipping. Just one other benefit that no one has posted. These pedals really grip your shoe. There is no sliding here. Wherever you put your foot, it stays! There hs been a few times when my foot has sliped of of the brake pedal. Won't happen with these pedals.
