Injen Intake Questions - Squeak?

I installed my Injen two weeks ago...the other day i noticed when i am driving, if the revs are at 2500-3000 and i step on the gas there is a tiny squeak from the intake then it goes away...does anyone have an idea of what this could possibly be?

All I'd say is to make sure that all the fittings are tight. There may be an open joint and air is whistling through.

Although make sure your rubber pipe mounts (a.k.a. VibraMounts) aren't super tight...just enough so they won't rattle.

Could it be a hissing sound and not a squeaking sound?

I had an AEM CAI in my old car, plus a short ram intake before that...and they both had a small hissing sound lower in the rpm band...it might be normal...

Might want to see if a snake got in the car, with all the hissing! I don't think I've ever heard a car hiss!

When do you hear the hissing? I hear a little suction noise if I blip the throttle at a stop.

not to worry, hissing on a cone filter intake is pretty normal. the change in pressure sort of whistles through the mesh on the intake filter... you should notice a similar hiss when you turn off the engine or on a throttle blip in neutral.

I've heard a V6 w/ CAI hiss, but never on my TSX. You might want to check under the hood to see all the fittings are tight, and actually confirm the hiss is from the filter and not the piping

Yeah i played tih a couple of the fasteners bbut still have the hiss...it almost sounds like air is squirting out through a fitting or something. Its hard to explain. If we all get together for the group install fest ill try and see if i can duplicate the sound.

It mostly seems to happen if you step on the gas, between 2500-3200 rpms. Its just a tiny squeak... I dont know if it is air trying to get out of the piping or what. Its not increadibly loud, and the car doenst feel any different. Id just like to at least know what the sound is.

RPM between 1.5~2.5, air leaking sound. weird...and I noticed Growl Sound got quieter??
I had Intake for five days now, I don't think car wash can ruin filter right?
May be I got used to hear loud Growl for five days and feels like it's stock now.
