Ideas on front bumper mesh?

I'm looking for front meshing for the bumper, becasue lately I've been getting alot of crap inside that area and I think it would be nice to block some big objects such as birds...

So far I had to remove a bird from the air damn, and boy it was not fun.
My friend did some chicken wire, anyone have anywhere or ideas what to use?

Someone said home depot but what to get exactly?

Chicken wires are for farm animals. Try some grill mesh instead.

The BMW M5's bumpers have the grille mesh. It looks very sharp. I believe there was a member on here that did it as well.

I can make one of these for you.

I had the same question and ended up cutting my own. I looks great, but it took a while. It took me forever to find the materials, make the pattern, and cut the grille. Now I have a pattern and sell the grilles pre-cut on eBay. I don't have any listed right now, but if anyone is interested I can re-list them. Here's some pictures of what I did.

It was $32 for a package of that ^^^^ mesh from the auto parts store. So I picked a roll of stuff up at Home Depot this weekend for$9. I found it in the AC vent aisle. It's not chicken wire.

More Grille Pics

Here's some more pics. I can set up a listing on ebay if you want one of these grilles.

how does that crap come out in the middle,...the um......blak crap under the liscense plate, does it just pop out?
my cousin just did his grill on his gti and he used the guttergaurd mesh from home depot 10 bucks for a shitload of it..all u gotta do is cut it.
sounds like a plan.
considering its thicker, stronger, and just more expensive looking than the stuff you pay 30-40 dollars for.
so...can someone tell me how that crap comes out..i know the fog light covers just pop out..
but im not sure of the other part.
thanks

You could always do what I did. Ignore the Mugen grille install and scroll down to the lower grille mesh install, Just pick up some universal black mesh as JTso pointed out.

If you are asking how to pull out the existing plastic slats on the lower air dam, I didn't pull them out. I used them to anchor the mesh. you can't really see it behind the mesh, and it provides more support.

How do you attach the mesh to the slats without it looking too obvious? Looks great, BTW.

That mesh looks good. My question is, how do you mount/anchor it to your car? Did you zip tie it or screw it in?

It really does look good though!

I liked the look but I haad trouble doing the install, the ends were sharp and I had to flatten out the mesh becasue it got bent on the way here. So its not too bad I'm going to reuse zipties and take off the bumper and do it.

Oh I have to find someway to put on the license plate...

I like this look. I made the lower center grill, and an other member here photoshoped the other grills. I made the poor foglight one. lol
