Icebox installation question

I am in the process of installing my CT icebox, but before continuing, i just wanted to make sure i'm doing this right.

Does the adapter piece, between the 'snorkel' and the lower airbox inlet, goes INTO or OVER the lower airbox inlet?? I'm asking this because my snorkel seems to hang a lot lower compare to the installation instruction, and no matter how hard i push the adapter into the snorkel, it wouldn't go in any further.

Thanks in advance.

It should be just fine. When I first installed the icebox, I too had the same confusion but I took the chance. Its been 3 weeks now and I haven't encounter any problem yet. Just remember to tighten the screw that holds the intake pipe. Hope this helps.
BTW did you install them by the bumper method?

yea, i did it the bumper method, because accessing the front resonator bolt with the euro r lip on was tricky.

But anyway, i think i figured it out no problem. The only hard part of the installation, (believe it or not), was putting the comptech lid over the stock airbox. For some reason, the bolt holes didn't line up well, so i didn't use the silver thingy for one of the bolt hole.

Well, I encountered my own problem as well. I was having a hard time putting the hose to the comptech lid and putitng the spring back to tighten the hose. Other than that the final result is very satisfying. You'll like the intake sound. Not too loud yet you'll defenitely feel the difference. Have fun and enjoy.
Oh by the way, how's the comptech RSB working for you? Feel the significant diff. on cornering?

yea, i didn't the spring back on because i don't see how i can fit that back onto the comptech lid. I think it is sealed pretty tight without it.

I still haven't had a chance to install the sway bar, because i was too tired after the icebox installation. I'll do that once my bloody knuckle return back to normal

How much louder is the Icebox than stock at 4000-7000 RPMs?

Its quite a bit louder. In fact, its not so much RPM related as it is throttle related. If you stomp on the throttle from standstill you'll hear it at 2000. The nice thing about it is that if you don't go full throttle you hardly hear the difference.
