So, it could be soon, or it could be 6 months or more. I suspect their CL7 car you've seen images of is the test mule and lots of things are on it being tested for racing and street use.

[QUOTE=xizor]its the fact that the RSX is a hatch and lacks the side of side rigidity that comes from a sedan. [QUOTE=xizor]
True as well. The RSX is just plain not built as strongly as the TSX, though, after all, it is a cheaper can. They stiffened up the 2005-2006 in the front wheel well housings and between the rear shock mounts, though, maybe its just the 2002-2004's that weren't that great.
I still think the missing hump made a big difference. Even though my old integra was supposedly not as stiff as the RSX, it never creaked when pulling into driveways, etc. The flat rear floor was there because it was good for interior room in the civic, and I'm sure was a major compromise to chassis stiffness no matter how much they tried to Engineer it out.

How much is it going for with shipping?

Like I said, though, they are trustworthy and I am 100% sure than in 2-3 months, I'll actually get the part. Other JDM places I've bought from have tended to be a total crap shoot.

Actually was thinking about getting the 4-pt front subframe brace, too, but looking at the pics, seemed no better than the Cusco Type-2. Also looked like it would interfere with the stock cat, just like the Cusco.
And, the Kunimitsu is steel, so it probably weighs 2x the Cusco.
I want to modify my stock cat heat shield so I can run the Cusco Type-2 in front. Thinking about buying a spare heatshield half, taking it to a machine shop and having part of the rear sawn-off and then weld the cut.
And, the Kunimitsu is steel, so it probably weighs 2x the Cusco.

I had Marcus/Heeltoe install the Cusco's upper and lower 4 point braces and they make a nice change in stiffening up the chassis platform. You wouldn't think adding a second brace to the already upper brace would make sense but it is a nice subtle mod. Also, thanks for passing info onto the forum on the rear brace; I've been looking for one of those also. Regards-

Just curious...what did he do regarding the lower heatshield on your cat? Did he remove it? Any rattling from the lower 4-pt bar?

Hello Jeffbatt-
About the Cusco 4pt lower chassis brace and the cat heat shield, the lower heat shield was removed to resolve the conflict, but the upper half stayed in place. Other than that, the 4pt bar fits-up nicely, and the bolt holes aligned perfectly with the anchoring points on the chassis. Marcus of HeelToe did the installation, as I was too lazy. Along with the upper strut tower brace, it makes a nice subtle enhancement. Back to the lower half cat heat shield, on this forum somewhere, I saw a picture where someone just cut back a small amount on the heat shield shield so it would clear the 4 pt cross-member - it's nothing a Dremel tool with a cutting bit couldn't handle to make a clean job. Concerning rattling, I have no rattling problems with the stock cat or the Random Tech cat that is now on my 128K mile car!! Cheers!
