Talking Greddy Sp2 Question.

Theres like 5 people selling the sp2 catback for the tsx. All of them are in Cali. Did I miss out on a special sale or something?? Where are you guys getting them from and how much!!! I know this is a real pointless question but im just curious!

I'm interested in buying one from them. There is about 4 or 5 of them trying to sell it in the blackmarket section. They probably bought them at a discount price or pulled a fast and the Furious type stuff and selling it for a profit. None the less, I might be getting an SP2 from one of them.

With all the people buying/selling, I still haven't found a sound/video clip to hear what one sounds like though...

Same. I've noticed this uprising of people selling cheap SP2's and am interested in buying one if the sound is right - but neither here nor the other forum has a sound clip. It's frustrating, to say the least.

I've heard the SP2 on the RSX's and they sound nice, nothing rice at all. It's one of the quietest ones offered by Greddy. Check youtube, and you'll be able to find some sound clips.

Unhappy

^ I get no results from youtube when I search for "tsx sp2" or "tsx sp-ii". Care to posts links to the videos? Or are you guys talking about the Greddy SP2 on a RSX?

yeah, i don't see any videos for the tsx. i think the rsx videos should be similar to what the tsx would sound like. they sound like what i'm looking for. picking up the exhaust tonight.

Search youtube for "TSX Greddy" and I get 4 unique video hits.

I've also heard it in person. I think its quite loud and deep.

^ I believe the clip above and all those on youtube so far are of the Greddy Evo, not Sp2.

No problem Reach! With all the SP2 sales, I'm just really interested in what they sound like so I've been trying to find as much info about them as possible

Someone on the other forum bought this and posted a sound clip.... enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CN60GpmqJAg

I for one think it sounds decent, but there's a buzzing/vibration toward the end of the video I don't like. Maybe his license plate vibrating from the exhaust note or something?

whoops, sorry guys forgot to post here. that was me. car is in the shop getting fixed right now so once i get the car back i'll create another video.

as for the vibration noise, it might be coming from the echoes in the garage that my camera was picking up. i didn't hear any vibration or buzzing.

I really love the sound of the Greddy SP2 as I have heard it in person, in comparison to the Tanabe. And all I can say is WOW. First off, the Tanabe sounds very ricey...I hate it. Sounds like a fart can The Sp2 had a nice, low, deep growl to it...What more can you ask for?

yes there is a clearance issue with the comptech sway bar.

well, finally got my car back today. had a few problems with the car overheating and all but i got it fixed.

now there's another problem, the exhaust is melting my rear bottom diffuser. (i think that's what it's called. anyone having this problem? i'm not sure if it's because the swaybar is in the way but this just sucks.

well i made a small little clip of the tsx driving by. my brother was filming and he cut it off to early but you get the idea. now in the video, i'm only reving it up to about 3000-4000 rpm.

Besides the sounds, is the SP2 better in performance than the Evo2?

Have you been able to resolve this issue? I like the sound of the SP2 a lot and for its price it seems to be my favorite catback, given that they're all equal (and relatively ineffective) from a performance standpoint.

only way to solve this problem is to either go back to stock or get the progress sway bar.
