I am not saying it's not legit

but the dyno itself produce higher # than mustang and dynojet...
So whatever you want to call it....it has higher # than what we normally see...

as you can see from the link I post...
it was hondata + icebox + comptech header on MT
I don't think any of us would get to 208whp with those mod on dynoject or mustang dyno.

I thought it was crank dyno before....well now we know it's not. So all I can say it's an overated wheel dyno...

Dynapack has slightly higher numbers but I did get 207 whp on a Dynojet with Hondata and basic bolt-ons. So it's not that hard to get 208.

I thought you got 207 with "all" the bolt on
not just intake + header + hondata...

I remember Moda_way got like 190whp with full comptech i/h/e + hondata

All I am saying it's that when we say wheel...we suspect about 15% loss
But dynopack's # is about 10% loss.....

No one is putting you down. Most people already know dynapack produces higher numbers. I even mention that at the beginning of my post. The most important thing is the difference of the dyno runs on the same dyno, not what the numbers are comparing to a total different dyno setup. The numbers are vaild if the testing is done on the same dyno. If you look at the Hondata results on a dynapack and my Hondata reflash results on a dynojet, the actual numbers are different, but the gains from the same mod are pretty much the same with approx 30hp and 25tq gain at 6000 rpm.

lol then why would you say you had a 207whp dyno run

anyway
it will be different....Lets say if dynapack's # is 10% higher than the regular.
It's simple math...lets say regular dyno on this mod is 235whp vs base 170whp

However dynapack's dyno shows (235*1.1- 170*1.1) = 71.5whp gain instead of 65whp gain....6.5whp difference.

The hondata flash # is similar is because the difference is small. Lets say regular dyno is 23whp gain.
23*1.1 = 25.3whp...only 2.3whp difference...So we all ignore it.

The larger the # the bigger the difference are.

PS
From hondata's dyno 208whp VS your dyno 180whp is actually 15% difference. So the difference is even higher than what I calculated above.

We can even see from hondata's dyno. hondata base dyno 180whp/ modded dyno 208whp....
I don't think you are getting 28whp @ top end.

There is a local engine dyno here that backs up the Dynapack numbers. Actually, the dynapack is really very accurate. Dynojets are actually not the best ones to compare with.

An besides, if you are looking at peak number, you are looking that the wrong thing. All chassis dynos are really good for is producing relative numbers. Before and after, etc.

If evaluating the design and concept between the dynojet and dynapack, the dynapack is actually a better measuring instrument and should provide more accurate results.

What is accurate even means in here?
We all know every dyno is different.....But all these machines should be accurate to its standard unless it's broken.

The only problem is higher # will produce higher difference...there's no question about that.

I said it's "overrated" means overrated to most people's standard.
We all expect base dyno to have 15% tranny loss....but dynapack only has 10% tranny loss...Most of us don't think hondata+i/h on a tsx will produce 208whp...But it did on dynapack.

it's great that it's more accurate.
we just need to remember to multiply by smaller multiplier when we try to convert to crank power.

260 to the wheel is like 300@ crank.....clearly it shouldn't be the case here...
IS350 is getting 250whp on "regular" people dyno....and it's 306@crank

----------------
lol i aint even trying to discuss dyno #....I just made a comment on hondata's dyino
because I always thoght it's crank hp and it turns out it's wheel hp...which is alot higher than I thought.

Agreed. The subject of dyno numbers is moot.

These parts are available now, and need about 4-5 weeks for construction. All parts are made by hand.

Please, please a simple request for the computer talented people here on the board....could someone overlay a stock 6 speed dynapack dyno graph over the above dyno? I would love to see what a stock TSX dyno would look like compared to the Hytech one. I believe the above dyno is comparing the Hytech to a Hondata dyno.

Ordered my Hytech cat and exhaust from Heeltoe! Marcus was a great help and has all the information and can submit a production order for you. Already have the header ordered from John @ Hytech. I should be receiving the parts around the first week of June.

Then, about a month after I receive the header/cat/exhaust, I'm gonna get the stage one cams, RSX type S VTC, springs/retainers, and Hytech Hondata re-flash, all from Heeltoe. So that should be around August.

If anyone wants to donate $ I could get the stuff sooner, then put up dynos, etc. Doesn't hurt to ask.

Currently the parts I have waiting install are: '06 TB and '06 intake manifold, which should help a little.

DAMN Going all out, huh?

The 06 TB & IM is cake to install. If you haven't already get the Hondata IMG and/or the Power Rev Racing gasket as well. Intake temp reducers.

Where did you get the time frame of June?

WAIT~

Does that mean IF I use the Hytech Reflash ECU, I can have typs S VTC (50 degree), stage one cams, and all other goodies? In this case I can pair with Other CAMS or Race Header/Exhaust???

You gotta go all out, because it all goes together as a sweet package....all the parts compliment each other. Of course you can just get the header, or exhaust which should work well with the standard Hondata re-flash.

Planned on getting the Hondata IMG, didn't know of the Power Rev Racing one..hmmmm.

Time frame is from Marcus. I know John has all the bends and tubing to weld up about 25 TSX exhausts and headers....that's what he showed me when I was at his shop.

I know some may ask about the RSX type/s VTC, I believe Doug @ Hondata can restrict/set VTC movement to only 40 or 45 degrees...forgot which, so I can use it with the stock pistons ('05) and BTW the valve reliefs in the '06+ have larger reliefs and thus can handle more VTC movement and therefore slightly more power.

so if you just got the headers and exhaust you shouldn't need another hondata reflash if you've already had one?

My understanding is it should work...although it might get a little lean at times. Ask tsx2345, I believe he has the Hytech stuff but not the Hytech specific re-flash.

I have the full HyTech exhaust system with the regular non-HyTech reflash.

I should get the HyTech reflah to optimize the exhaust system but I am going to wait it out to see if the "you know what" comes out.
