Hps Cai

There was an old thread before about the HPS. But since I have the Dynos now, I'll start a new one. Mods, please change if needed. Here are the sheets.... Everything was tested on the same day. First 3 runs were stock with resonator taken out. Next 12 runs were of different filters to check out the difference. The posted Dyno is of what comes with the HPS intake system. Total is about 10whp increase and 7lbs of torque. I was surprised too, but after like 12 runs at WOT, the ECU should have adjusted already and accurate. Enjoy. My friend should be posting pics soon of the install and pics of the Dyno. He works there. Here is the link to the page....http://stores.channeladvisor.com/hip...s/hps-88-0122?

wow..thats ridiculously uncanny for a cai to have gains throughout. Hows the throttle response? Now this might be interesting to swap out my comptech for.

WOW... the gain looks impressive, almost unrealistic...

I thought the CAI should dip compare to stock box in lower rpm?? Cause that's happen on all CAI?

Same here...the graph looks way too perfect in its gains to be true. The gains and baseline look almost exactly the same except the gains line was copied and pasted further up, and the VTEC point doesn't seem right. Baseline usually dips down before 6k rpms, then shoots up. This reminds me of the topspeed header when that guy first posted it, and talked about like 15whp/ft/lb gain.

Then again, what do I know, this could be the best of all the intakes out there.

I agree. I need independent verification of that dyno. It sounds too good to be true for an intake design that pretty much a copy of everyone elses.

Also, since you guys are in Cali it would be good to know if its CARB certified.

Sorry, haven't been on for a few days. But my car was stock with resenator removed. The throttle response was there... I acutally liked the intake because of that. I noticed when I had the Injen cai, that the response was lower than with the HPS. I think that the diameter of the intake may make a difference. I will have to phone my friend from the place to show the rest of the dynos. I believe they posted the one with their brand filter. I don't believe it is CARB certified for Cali. I'll double check everything with him.
