Hondata Question

I have a 6MT TSX with only a K&N panel filter. I want to get Hondata but do not plan to do any other engine mods for quite awhile if ever. Has anyone ever run hondata on a completely stock motor or with only a K&N panel filter? I know I will get more power with other mods, I just want to know that my idle will be fine and that the motor will run smoothly.

if your username is k24tunr you have to do more than reflash and k&n air filter, its a requirement i believe...

In that case, you'll see a noticeable amount of improvement in the power band, but it won't be spectacular. Most of the power will be apparent between 5k and 7k. Just don't expect a huge kick in the pants.

It will work fine; you just won't maximize the benefits of the reflash. It was designed around certain modifications, but doesn't rely upon those mods to make everything work.

...And Vwong is also running a reflash with no other engine mods I believe. Part of his review appears on TSX reflash page of the Hondata website. Take a look at it.

My '04 has Hondata and no other engine mods. No idle or smoothness issues at all. Just lots of fun Outside of the advertised improvements, you can't really tell you have it most of the time.

Also running the hondata reflash on a completely stock motor. 04 6MT, no problems whatsoever.
