what's the last word on Hondata? when is it going to come out?

I'd rather them take the time to get it right personally. I'm very interested in this mod but I'm going to let a few of the other members be the guinea pigs for me first...

Keep in mind the reflash is not going to do you any good if you are going turbo, especially with the aggressive timing map. There are just too many variables to address with a turbo setup. You will need something that can be tuned like the programmable Hondata ECU.

Yeah, JTSO is right. Definetly need the programmable ECU if going turbo. Any word on when the ECU is coming out? I always call it a chip, but that's what I meant, the ECU.

Heh, I've read only good news about it for the RSX and I expect the same for the TSX. I'm not sure what does more, the ECU or the reflash. I think it's the ECU. Oh well, looks ike that and the turbo will have to wait until next year. I'm still having mad fun with my car though .

Forgive the dumbosity but what's the difference between the ECU and the reflash? I was starting to think they were the ssame thing.

The main difference is the programmable ECU allows you to make changes to various parameters such as fuel, timing, closed/open loop mode, VTEC crossover point and many others, as well as datalogging. The flash is a program with fixed parameters which can't be changed by the user.

excuse the ignorance, but can i upgrade the ecu or reflash while not making any other mods to the car??

I beleive the hondata reflash is tuned to be used with a cold air intake.
